Basketball fans are notorious for being loud, both in the stadiums and on social media, and with more and more fans taking to social media every day to show their support for their team, have you ever wondered which NBA teams have the most vocal fans online?

To discover this, the team at Gambling.com utilized the social listening tool Linkfluence to analyze social media data for every fanbase in the NBA by looking at the number of posts that had been made using their team’s unique slogan and ranked them in order of most to least vocal:

Taking top spot are the Los Angeles Lakers as their fans have won this ranking by a landslide. Lakers fans have taken to social media a staggering 465,243 times using their team hashtag ‘#LakeShow’. The Golden State Warriors are next up as they find themselves second with 367,926 posts using their famous slogan ‘#DubNation’, and the Dallas Mavericks are in third with 319,317 posts that mention ‘#MFFL’.

Indiana Pacers fans came bottom of the leaderboard with just 12,175 posts mentioning their team specific hashtag ‘#BoomBaby’, followed by the Hornets with 28,693 posts and the Hawks with 30,859.

However, the Los Angeles Clippers had the most positive fans throughout the season with 25.90% of posts containing the hashtag ‘#ClipperNation’ being positive, and the title of most negative fans in the NBA goes to the Detroit Pistons fanbase, with 10.10% of posts containing the hashtag ‘#Pistons’ being negative.
